
Abstract
We are approaching to a super-aged society which would be supported by AI-embedded technologies in industrial terms, thereby necessitating more superb body ability to keep human governance stable. Specifically, it is necessary to make human being enhanced, rather than by recuperating medically, by augmenting the body abilities: athletic ability, sensory ability, perceptual ability, cognitive ability, and communication ability. Some portions of sensory and athletic abilities can be augmented using body-compatible HW components and sensors, many of which have been developed or studied to this day. Brain-machine interfacing or neural-network based transactions communication ought to be explored to the extent of direct brain-to-cloud communication. In this speech ETRI’ on-going R&D and a future plan toward human-body augmentation will be addressed around the collaboration with KAIST and others.
