‘Secondary Battery Materials’ recent advances’ and ‘Planned Startups’ was discussed on June 14th.
The Institute for Technology Value Creation (Director Keon-jae Lee) held the POSCO Technology Investment-KAIST ILP Investment Council Advisory Meeting at 10 am on June 14th in the faculty conference room of the KI Building.
This meeting, attended by Keon-jae Lee, Director of the Technology Value Creation Institute and Seong-won Shin, the new CEO of POSCO Technology Investment, was held under the theme of secondary battery materials (Lithium/Nickel), with Prof.r Hee-tak Kim of the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Prof. Nam-soon Choi of the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, and Prof. Dong-hwa Seo of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. There were professors' introductions of promising startup technologies and presentations and advice on overseas trends in solid-state batteries. In particular, Prof. Dong-hwa Seo attracted attention with his presentation on the robot laboratory. In addition, the planned startup proposal tailored to POSCO's strategic business areas was proposed by Prof. Kim Hye-jin, head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Center.
A total of six people, including CEO Seong-won Shin and Director Park Yong-ju Park of POSCO Technology Investment, attended this investment council meeting and discussed expectations for the KAIST ILP council and future cooperation plans. POSCO Technology Investment Co., Ltd. has invested in Prof. Il-doo Kim's IDK Co., Ltd., Prof. Young-jae Jang's Dime Research Corp., Ltd., and Prof. Jun-bo Yoon's Mems Lux Co., Ltd. through participating in the ILP and DCM programs of the ITVC’ Industrial-Academic Cooperation Center.
